Hello family and friends! I appreciate all of your love and support!
This week was a little bit of a slower week but it was still really
great! As I said in my last report, we were planning on having a
baptism for Charlotte. She passed her interview and we had it all
ready to go but she is still not sure if that's what she wants to do.
She doesn't think she knows enough. So we reassured her that we know
that she knows enough and that it is part of the church is to
continually be learning new things but we also made sure she knew that
it was her choice and we were not going to make her do it! She has
read the Book of Mormon almost finishing Mosiah! She is super awesome
and can't wait for her to give the thumbs up! (We know she will, it's
just a matter of time)
With that being said we also have another investigator with a date on
Saturday! Jeff has been great to get to know! Elder Marsden and I are
sure he is ready for it! So we will just be planning on him getting
dunked on Saturday! :) Something funny about him though is he like me
a lot so the plan so far is that I would Baptize and Confirm him! We
aren't sure if that is what will end up happening but that's the plan!
He has quit chewing tobacco cold turkey! He said he tried it one more
time and he thought it tasted like dirt so he spit it all out! The
Lord will help with your addiction if you will rely on him!
Eric our other investigator is going through a lot of stress and has
taken the week away from us. We have still been texting him and
calling him, so we are still in contact with him, and we are hoping to
get him back on track this week. We aren't sure how he is doing with
his smoking but I know when he is able to truly gain a testimony, he
will quit! He just gives off that vibe to me! haha :) He is a good guy
so hopefully he can! :)
Elder Marsden and I have a great time together! Especially with the
other Elders that live in our apartment. It seems like every night is
filled fun! The other day we were in the apartment and we were a
little bored. Well, what do you do when you get bored? Play Pong with
Lemon Juice and Club Soda? Why not?! haha It was a super fun time!
That is one thing that I have loved so much about my mission. We have
so many spiritual experiences and it's amazing! But we also have a ton
of fun! :)
One more thing... It rains here in Florida! In case you didn't know!
Before coming to Florida I forgot what rain was! Kanab had been
getting pretty much no rain and when it did rain it rained some! Here,
it RAINS! It's actually really, really cool! Another fun fact! The
Tampa Bay Area is one of the Lighting Strike Capitols in the World.
One of the members told me it used to be THE Lighting Capitol of the
World but somewhere else took over and now it is just the US. So yeah!
They have a lot of Heat Lightening! So even when it's hot outside, no
rain, you can still see a lightening storm going on! It's really cool
actually! I think I am adjusting to the Humidity pretty well! It's not
as big of deal I don't think! I am loving Florida! It's even starting
to cool down a bit! Which is exciting! :)
I hope you all have a fantastic week!! :)
