Bappy!
Hey everyone! It is once again time for the weekly report! :)
I don't remember a whole lot about this week! It really seemed like a
blur, but it was still a great week! For P-day we went to a huge mall
in Clearwater with the other Elders in our apartment! They have a car
so it is pretty good to have them there! :) haha but this Mall is
huge! It also has an ice skating rink? ring? I don't know? I'm from
Southern Utah this is the first Ice Skating Rink or whatever I have
seen! ;) hahaha but Elder Gross is from Canada so it wasn't hard to
get him on the ice! But I didn't want to spend the money to go so it
was just him and Elder Marsden on the ice! It was really funny to
watch! haha :)
Throughout the week it was just the same old, same old! haha The thing
I learned his week is that missionary work is hard! Things can be
going great and things can turn around just like that! Eric, the
smoker, we have pretty much lost contact with him. We text him and
call him but not much back. So we had to drop him. Charlotte, the old
lady we thought was a for sure bappy, isn't sure. She doesn't see the
need to change her life because she is 80 and feels good about her
life. So we aren't so sure about her.
However, Jeffrey! He is our knight in shining armor! He is pretty
solid! He quit chewing tobacco, listened to all of our lessons, kept
all of his commitments, and got baptized! He wasn't sure about it
until we taught him about why it's important and that he needs to be
baptized! He is a great guy! Now we just have to keep in contact with
him and do our thing to keep him active! :)
But we had to do quite a bit of dropping so our teaching pool is
pretty slim. There is nobody on the street's of Palm Harbor to try and
talk to so we are starting to hit a standstill! Missionary work isn't
easy! But it's not supposed to be! So we are just doing what we can
with members and trying to get referrals!
Our hair is slowly but surely growing back! I think I will be back to
having to do my hair here shortly! It's been 3 or 4 weeks or
something? haha we miss our hair! Keep praying that our hair will grow
back even faster! ;)
General Conference is this week! It's probably one of the biggest
holidays out here in the mission field so we are all anxiously waiting
as I hope all of you are! It's really easy to slack off and sleep
through conference.. Everyone does! But try hard to stay awake and
listen to all of the great messages that our modern day leaders have
to share with us! We are so blessed to have a living prophet on the
earth today that receives revelation for the entire church! I hope
that you all make time to sit and listen to their messages! Especially
Elder Holland! Because he is awesome! :)
Also! As many of you have seen I'm sure! I have a Mission Facebook!!
Although I wish I could add all of you, I'm not allowed to! I am only
permitted to be friends with my Mom, Dad and Siblings!! Sorry!
Have a great week everyone!! I love and appreciate all of you and your support!!
